Southeast Chapter of American College of Sportsmedicine

Welcome to the Southeast Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine
In Memoriam:Dr. Andy Zozar. Funeral Mass for Andy Kozar in Knoxville, TN, 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 4th at Sacred Heart Cathedral with Monsignor Philip T. Thoni and Father David Boettner officiating.
A private interment will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made either to Andy Kozar's Graduate Research Scholarship Endowment Fund or the Sports Art Fund. Send donations to Dr. Dixie Thompson, Department of Exercise, Sport, and Leisure Studies, 1914 Andy Holt Avenue, HPER Building Room 328, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN 37996. 


Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.




The mission of the American College of Sports Medicine is to promote and integrate scientific research, education, and practical applications of sports medicine and exercise science to maintain and enhance physical performance, fitness, health, and quality of life. 

The Southeast Chapter of ACSM has a strong record of excellence in supporting the mission of ACSM and has led the way in program design, research, student development and membership involvement. 

The Southeast Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (SEACSM) is composed of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
